PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo believes that Indonesia needs to play a bigger role in international shipping activities in the Malacca Strait. This step is important so that Indonesia is not only a transit country, but also able to achieve added economic value from the maritime services sector.
On this occasion, Achmad explained that the Strait of Malacca is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world which has strategic significance for Indonesia. Apart from being a main corridor for international trade, the area also provides great opportunities for Indonesia to increase economic added value through the provision of integrated maritime services.
“The Strait of Malacca is not just an international shipping route. For Indonesia, this area is a strategic space to strengthen maritime sovereignty while capturing greater economic value from world trade activities,” said Achmad in his statement, Friday (26/6/2026).
This was conveyed by the Main Director of Pelindo, Achmad Muchtasyar, at the Strategic Maritime Forum which was held on the occasion of World Seafarer’s Day 2026 in Jakarta, Thursday (25/6).
Furthermore, Achmad explained that Indonesia needs to strengthen its presence by providing safe, reliable and competitive maritime services, starting from pilotage services, delays, ship to ship transfers, transshipment, floating storage, to various other ship support services. In this way, Indonesia is not only a shipping route, but also an important part of the international logistics and trade chain.
“When world shipping activities pass near our territory, Indonesia must not just be a spectator. We must be able to provide strong, reliable and value-added services for the national interest,” explained Achmad.
Apart from providing added economic value, Achmad emphasized that strengthening maritime services also plays an important role in improving shipping safety and protecting the marine environment. The high level of ship traffic in the Malacca Strait requires good service management to minimize the risk of accidents, pollution and the potential for oil spills that could impact Indonesian waters.
“Strengthening pilotage, tugboats and other maritime services is not just a matter of business. It also concerns shipping safety, environmental protection and the state’s presence in safeguarding its maritime space,” added Achmad.
As part of this effort, Pelindo continues to develop maritime services in strategic areas, one of which is through the operation of the Nipa Transfer Anchorage Area (NTAA) in Nipa Waters, Riau Islands, which began operating in May 2026. These services include ship to ship transfer, ship services, and floating storage to support maritime activities around the Malacca Strait.
“Developing services in Nipa Waters is an important step to strengthen Indonesia’s position in international trade and logistics. This is not just port business development, but part of efforts to bring greater economic benefits to Indonesia,” continued Achmad.
Achmad added that strengthening maritime services must go hand in hand with increasing the capacity and role of Indonesian seafarers. According to him, the development of pilotage, towing, ship to ship transfer services and various other maritime services will open up greater opportunities for national seafarers to contribute to the maritime sector, both at the national and international levels.
“Indonesian seafarers have recognized competence and resilience. Therefore, strengthening the national maritime ecosystem must also provide space for Indonesian seafarers to take a bigger role, both domestically and in international strategic areas,” said Achmad.

Furthermore, Achmad explained that Pelindo is currently continuing to strengthen the company’s transformation from a port operator to an integrated port and maritime service provider (end-to-end port and marine ecosystem integrator). This transformation is realized through strengthening port connectivity, developing maritime services, digitizing services, as well as integrating ports with industrial areas and hinterlands to support national supply chain efficiency.
Achmad explained that optimizing the potential of the Malacca Strait cannot be done by one party alone, but requires close synergy between the government, regulators, state-owned companies, business actors and the maritime community. This collaboration is key so that Indonesia is able to increase the competitiveness of maritime services while obtaining greater economic benefits from international shipping activities.
“The Strait of Malacca must become a strategic space that provides maximum benefits for Indonesia. Through strong collaboration, we can strengthen maritime sovereignty, increase shipping safety, increase the contribution of the maritime sector to the national economy, as well as open up more opportunities for Indonesian seafarers to develop,” concluded Achmad.
Through the Strategic Maritime Forum in the context of World Seafarers’ Day 2026, Pelindo emphasized its commitment to continue to support strengthening the national maritime ecosystem, increasing the competitiveness of port services, and increasing the contribution of the maritime sector to Indonesia.
For information, the forum was attended by Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana, Senior Director of Transportation Danantara Asset Management Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, Head of the Transportation Policy Agency, Inspector General of Police. Dr. Capt. Hermanta, as well as maritime sector stakeholders who discussed strengthening Indonesia’s role in the international shipping and logistics ecosystem.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
